Other Courses - API Inspector Courses 510/570/653/571:
The programs conducted by API have enormous job prospectus internationally. The API Courses provide the participants the guidelines and methodology of carrying out inspection of in-service equipment’s. It also provides techniques for the assessment of the wear and tear of the equipment’s as well as to measure de-gradation and damages caused to the process equipment’s due to the process conditions.
If the assessment indicates that the equipment is safe to run, the participants are further taught how to estimate the safe remaining life and the methods to extend the useful life of the equipment’s. If the decision is that the equipment needs repair, the course teaches the participants, how to carry out such repairs of the damaged part without causing damage to the whole equipment.
It also covers the methods of re-rating the equipment by evaluating the mechanical integrity if it is not possible to restore the equipment to its original design conditions.
API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector
This course gives a broad knowledge about “Pressure Vessel—Maintenance Inspection, Rating, Repair and Alternation” and prepares students for the API 510 exam. The course is an intensive one-week course with a special emphasis on the use of the related codes and calculations
API 570 – Piping Inspector
This course gives a broad knowledge about “In-Service Piping Systems” and prepares students for the API 570 exam. The course is an intensive one-week course with a special emphasis on the use of the related codes and calculations. This course content includes: Using B31.3 API 570 Piping Calculations, B16.5 & other Section IX Welding Exam
API 653 – Above ground Storage Tank Inspector
The API 653 Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector must have a broad knowledge base relating to tank inspection and repair of aboveground storage tanks, and will satisfy the minimum qualifications specified in API Standard 653, Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration, and Reconstruction.
API 571 – Damage Mechanism
API 571 contains sections for different types of damage mechanisms. Each mechanism is given a write up that consists of a description of the mechanism, a list of materials that are susceptible to that mechanism, guidelines for inspecting for that mechanism, and measures that can be taken to prevent or mitigate that particular mechanism.
